I was super late the day I met with Ashley and Jordan. I don’t remember at this time why I was late, but I remember taking a minute to re-group in my car, remember that I hadn’t completely lost them yet, and that I could definitely get them to book me. I walk in and find two incredibly attractive people with coffees and pray in my head they are my bride and groom. Lucky for me, I could make them laugh and it was an incredible appointment. I left feeling so much better than when I walked in and only a few days later got the contract in the mail. Sweet.
Ashley and Jordan met at Salisbury University and made it known that they were dating after winter term in 2005. Five years later, and 5 days after Ashley started a new job, they got engaged. All Ashley wanted to was eat Chinese food and fall asleep on the couch after such a long first week, but Jordan had other plans. Jordan had wanted them to meet friends at Bayside Cafe at 8pm but instead he caved on the Chinese, brought it over to Ashley’s, and didn’t eat a thing – which was first sign something was off but Ashley didn’t think anything of it and started drifting off on the couch. 8pm rolls around and Jordan is all up and ready to go and is insistent that they walk down to Bayside. Ashley is talking about her week and new job, and had to ask Jordan if he was even paying attention when Jordan says he wants to take the long way to the restaurant – light bulbs are going off in Ashley’s head now – maybe it is the day!! They get closer to the water to a park bench draped in red and covered in rose petals, and candles, and a bottle of champagne. Jordan proposed, God only knows what he said, I think it is like that for most girls because our minds are going a mile a minute at that point, but Ashley said yes (thank goodness, because that all leads to the part where I got to take the most amazing photos ever). Being an amateur at proposals, and this is pretty funny, Jordan handed Ashley the box with the ring in it instead of putting it on her hand. Don’t worry guys, that is why us girls are here, to let you know what you are supposed to do.
So, Ashley said yes and they planned an absolutely beautiful day and I was there to document it all. Ashley & Jordan – I know you are at your layover in Miami right now, drinking cocktails early in the morning, which is exactly what you are supposed to do but I do hope you see this soon. I hope you have an incredible time in St. Lucia and can’t wait to show you all your photos when you get back!!
The guys arrived on a boat. ON A BOAT. How awesome is that?
Thanks so much, Steve, for coming along!!
