It has been almost 5 months so I figure it is time for an invisalign update. If you are newbie’s to the blog, nbd (no big deal!), catch up here!!
I feel like I have come a long way from that day back in September when I was crying in my car thinking this was going to be like high school all over again and I would have zero friends. At every meeting I had those first few weeks, I felt like the bride and groom were staring directly at my teeth and I think I lost a lot of confidence and it just made for not so great meetings, the ones that didn’t book weren’t my brides anyway so whatevs. It probably took 6 weeks for me to just get used to it and not even really care anymore. After that first blog post, I felt so supported, I just needed to get myself there and it took a bit of time. Now, it’s just a fun talking point if someone talks about it at a meeting or when I am just out and about.
I’m at a halfway point in my treatment which means that they have no more trays for me because they need to redo my impressions (gah..yuck!) and just make sure everything is working the way they want it to before making me a new set of trays. I have to say I am really impressed. I didn’t even think there was much wrong with my top teeth before and complained that these stupid tab things seem like overkill, but there was a lot wrong and now…there isn’t. I probably am nearly done with the top teeth and probably have another few months with the bottoms which were totally jacked up, again still super impressed with how much they have moved into place.
I am admittedly super glad I am doing this. But don’t tell anyone because I still whine about it too much. I mean it’s so attractive to be at a Ravens game, ordering a hot dog, sitting down in our seats and having to take out your retainer case and then take out your retainers with everyone sitting around. I will be glad when it is all over but honestly, it isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Seeeeee how prettttttyyyy they are going to be??? And don’t ya just love these close ups of me? Ha…
