It is no secret that this past week, the infamous Elle turned the big 3-0! A few weeks ago, her super sweet husband, Mike, contacted me and asked what I thought about using the studio for a surprise birthday party. I was 110% on board. Little did I know, Elle’s amazing sister, Jill, made our studio crazy beautiful and went all out in Speakeasy theme. From the red porch light to 1920s music playing on the gramophone record player, pearls and sequins, F. Scott Fitzgerald quotes and a gold, shimmery cake – it was all perfect. She did an incredible job.
My task, you ask? Well, no one made me aware of the fact that Elle doesn’t like surprises until the surprise was already set in motion, so when Elle’s hubs contacted me and asked if I would be willing to invite Elle out to a girls night for her birthday at a swanky place (so she would be dressed appropriately for her own party), I was hesitant but too excited to say no. So I texted her and acted crazy excited for a girls night at Wit and Wisdom – even texted her the day of a picture of my cute shoes I was going to wear and another about how I am so excited for a pumpkin spice and bourbon cocktail. And guys, she totally fell for it.
So, here she is 10 minutes late because parking is nuts in Canton on a Friday night. Mike decided to stand outside to soften the blow. And I snuck photos through the window. Especially cute because Elle was giving me the “what the hell is Dani doing taking photos through the window and why are you here, Mike? You are supposed to be at work.”
She put it all together when Jill flipped on the red porch light and she walked through the door. Such a fun evening!! I am so glad I brought my camera.
