These boys…

Sorry this isn’t the traditional Friday post, but I haven’t been spending way too much time on the interwebs aside from maybe being blown away by this article. There ya go, Friday post condensed into one website. Mind blown!

Anyway – I love coming to Austin every year. I think this is my 4th trip, possibly 5th? I can’t keep track anymore. Usually the weather is awesome because per Janice post Valentine’s Day is shorts weather. This time, it has been chilly but I have been promised by accuweather a high of 80 today. I will take it. Part of the reason I LOVE coming here is getting my butt kicked in every childhood game you can think of with Janice’s two awesome boys. I feel like I have been watching them grow up so much. They totally are legit kids now, not toddlers. They are so fun and have their own distinct personalities. It’s so cool to watch and see.

Yesterday we convinced them if they were super good at picture time (and at Kerbey Lane for delicious breakfast for dinner) then we could watch Frozen! Gotta love bribing kids with a movie I want to watch for the first time. 😉 Luckily, they were good, but not good enough for popcorn. Such a cute movie.

Anyway – I love the earthly, organic vibe I get to all my Austin photos. And that light…ahh, why can’t we have that light at home? I was wearing my glasses and could totally see the haze when I looked towards the sun. So gorgeous. I only mention the glasses because I felt like it enhanced it in some way. Texas and Cali, you totally have that gorgeous dreamy color…keep it up.

Anna - I know exactly what you are talking about when you mentioned the light on the west coast and in Austin! We seriously need that here! Also, I was watching Frozen with you in spirit last night…we were definitely watching it at the same time, I’m sure!
