Lauren & Nicole

Well, today I am posting my very first of what I hope is many same sex weddings. Nicole and Lauren are so special to me. From the minute they walked into my studio, I loved them. They are kind, so loving, and so genuine in their emotions for each other and their family and friends. I remember them explaining to me their vision for the photography on their wedding day – that they wanted the photos to express how in love they were, tenderly and sweetly. I am so hoping that comes through in these photos. It oozes out of them so easily, it wasn’t hard to capture in the slightest. Lauren and Nicole met while teaching at a charter school in New Orleans – aka one of my most favorite cities in the good old USofA. 4 years later Nicole proposed to Lauren in the middle of Jackson Square and only a little more than a week ago – they tied the knot for good. It was so beautiful and I could not have been more honored to be a part of it all!!

Super special thanks to the lovely Anna Reynal for being such a fabulous second shooter on this wedding!!

Marie Weatherspoon - I remember the first time l met Gilwee at Wilson…bright eye with a love for children..l admired and hoped she would aways be a teacher somewhere..she was someone that gave her all and all…
Ms. P is different..confident and caring for her students along with the intermingling of others who touch them too.
Love, faith, Caring, Kindness and compassion are just some of the touches they give to all they come in vintact with..
I wish them a long and loving life together….Wspoon
