I promise I have a pretty wedding up next for you tomorrow, but today is Frankie’s 30th birthday.
I would have about one thousand exclamation points after that but today sucks! Frank has to work 13 hours at a job he hates, while I get to continue to do my dream job. It’s completely frustrating. Especially knowing the only reason I got to start this dream job was because he had a job that allowed me to give it a try. But I know that what lies ahead in the next years careerwise is going to be far greater than where we are at right now and for that, I am grateful.
For 57 days every year, I am called Frank’s old lady, a cradle robber, and just plain old, well, old to anyone Frank talks to. I don’t even know how age comes up so much in 57 days but it always seems to. Well, I have a blog! That lots of people read! So now it’s my turn!! But ya know, it just doesn’t feel right making fun of Frank for now being “old.” He says that now that he is 30, we are young again, but I could tell this morning he is not feeling so young.
Frankie, thank you for teaching me the value in working hard, how to sleep a little later, and how to love a little more everyday. You truly are the better part of me. Happy 30th!
