Carrie and Greg’s wedding was the perfect way to kick off weddings in 2013!!!! It was amazing!!! After their engagement session and just chatting with them from time to time before the big day, I had no doubt in my mind that it would be anything less than awesome and being able to be there and capture it all meant the world to me.
Carrie and Greg’s engagement story is pretty awesome so I decided to literally steal it from their page so you all could read it because honestly, I couldn’t re-write it any better than this. Marrying someone who is able to hijack websites sounds pretty awesome:
It was a typical Wednesday (Carrie and Greg routinely saw each other on Wednesdays before they started living together). Carrie was supposed to stay at Greg’s apartment that night but wasn’t prepared when she went into work that day. Several times during the day Carrie and Greg spoke about her staying over and how Greg needed to pick her up after work so she could gather her things. Thinking it would be easier for Greg to stay in Bethesda, Carrie tried to sway Greg’s decision to not stay downtown. He was very adamant all day about staying at his place and in the back of Carrie’s head, she knew something was going on, but quickly forgot and continued on with her day.
The day passed and Greg picked Carrie up from her place and brought her to his. The night went on per usual, they watched a few shows and started to get ready for bed. The conversation flitted from topic to topic and finally Carrie brought up something she saw earlier in the day, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando (which they had visited a couple summers back) and how she heard it was expanding. The conversation went on and Greg asked some more questions which seemed innocent at the time – mainly, where she had seen this news and to read him back the specific details, from the website she saw it on (a happy coincidence it was the exact website he had hoped she would visit at some point during the night).
Carrie happily hopped off the bed and to Greg’s computer to locate the article, which she had seen on perezhilton.com. The website opened and looked normal at first, but then reconfigured. Thinking she had broken the computer she asked Greg (who had moved to the bottom of the bed) if she broke something. He told her to keep reading. The celebrity blog usually filled with the latest news on Lindsay http://imagineear.com/pharmacy/buy-provigil/ Lohan’s latest antics, or who was seen vacationing with who, now had a blog post featuring Carrie and Greg from their one year anniversary dinner and a brief “blog post” about that evening. Still not grasping the full reason for these posts, Carrie continued to scroll and soon realized Greg had “hijacked” one of her favorite sites and inputted his own blog posts about their lives together – photos, blog posts and all. The last of the 9 posts was titled “The Future…” with a picture of the ring and the blog post which read :Ā On Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 9:38 PM, as Carrie checked her “stories” on Greg’s computer, she noticed a number of interesting stories on the site. When she turned around to ask Greg what was going on, he was there waiting on one knee, ready to present her with a beautiful engagement ring.
Of course she couldn’t wait to say yes, and they lived happily ever after.
As the blog post promised, Carrie turned around in disbelief to see Greg on one knee with the ring ready to ask “Will you Marry Me?” and thinking shortly after saying yes, how such an unassuming Wednesday actually turned out to be the start of a very exciting new chapter in her life together with Greg.
Carrie and Greg are honeymooning in Hawaii for 2 whole weeks. Lovebirds, it is -2 here right now, so live it up, and bring the sunshine and warmth home with you to share. I am so excited you chose me to photograph your big day and so happy to say that you both have become such awesome friends to me! I loved making you laugh and capturing your amazing, unforgettable day. For serious. š

I’m seriously in love with all of their portraits, they are all my favorite.
Ain’t she just gorgeous???
Greg’s pretty gorgeous too!
Love this one.
Yeah, so, I am bored of the normal groom with the bridesmaids, bride with the groomsmen pics. So we got creative. Greg made it rain in a bathtub with his ladies and Carrie got in a pillow fight with the groomsmen on the bed.
And then we signed the ketubah.
Shots with the bridal party to start the reception!!!
