I knew from the minute I met Brooke on skype from her home in Cali that I wanted to shoot their wedding and be best friends with her. She was awesome. It’s like our personalities instantly connected because that is just the kind of girl Brooke is. She has a magnetic personality that makes you feel super comfortable from the very beginning. I am sure that is how it was when James met her during their junior year at UW Madison even if it did take a little hint hint from Brooke to get him to finally ask her out. The proposal though – James didn’t need any help. They had just flown out to California to go apartment hunting and had planned on having dinner at Half Moon Bay that evening. But apartment hunting is exhausting and Brooke naturally wanted to relax and change before their reservations while James was wanting to get to Half Moon bay before dark. When Brooke was ready to go, James didn’t drive to the restaurant but down to the beach where the sun was setting. After making sure no on lookers were gawking, James got down on one knee and said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Brooke. Before he could even officially ask she said “yes!” and then she said yes again after he officially asked! Seriously they are too cute.

Brooke & James – I hope Hawaii is amazing!! Thank you so much for being the sweetest couple in front of my camera. Your love is absolutely beautiful. I know little, slobbery, full of zest, Ralphie is going to have the best human parents in the whole world. Can’t wait to come visit!!
