I heart love stories that start in high school or college, but a love story that starts on a day trip for the pep band will always steal my heart. But I have already told you all about that during their engagement session at William and Mary – one of their most favorite places. Did I tell you then that Mike proposed there? As if it was any other day Mike asked Jenn to meet him at the sundial where they were going to study. She was talking to her mom on the phone on the way there and when she got there she meandered around in circles as Mike just sat reading, totally calm. When she was finally done, Mike didn’t want to sit anymore, saying it wasn’t a good place to study and walks over to the sundial and appears to get settled but magically ends up on one knee with a ring in his hand. She, of course, said yes.
So that brings us to this past weekend where I finally got to photograph a wedding at the Cloisters – such a gorgeous venue. As I searched the rooms when I got there I couldn’t help but feel like they had to have picked this place for its history and charm. It reminded me of some of the more historic buildings from the early years on William and Mary’s campus. It was absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait to go back.
