A few housekeeping notes before we get on with this awesome blog post of two of the cutest people ever: I will be out of town a lot in July. First up is St Augustine for a wonderful wedding in the sun. I will be out of the office until July 1st. If I am slow to respond to emails it is because I am debating not taking my computer with me for the first time ever. I promise to respond as soon as I get back.

Now, onto these two lovebirds. I met Kim a few months back at my studio and immediately wanted to be her BFF. She and I had in common that we had both run the Disney Princess Half – except for when she ran it, her prince charming proposed at the finish line, dressed in full on Prince Charming attire. I adored their story and knew that I wanted to photograph their magical wedding. We set out to do their engagement session yesterday in Mt Vernon. It was the first time I had ever been there that it really ever felt European to me. Everything I put them in front of, I just felt like we had hopped on a plane to Italy and were hanging out in beautiful nooks and crannies, but leave it to someone screaming out of their car window to get a room to remind me that we are definitely in fact in America, and even more so Baltimore. I loved getting to know these two even more – Hood friends – you might recognize Kim! Class of 2002 – how we didn’t discover that on our initial meeting I will never know, but I am even more excited about their wedding which is almost exactly a year from now.

We stopped by Sotto Sopra, Kim’s favorite Italian restaurant, to end the evening with some Lady and the Tramp style photos. :- )
