I had been looking forward to this wedding for many months by the time it came around. It promised to be the second largest wedding I have ever photographed as well as the craziest and Athena was right, she had prepped me well because the wedding was just that but having just come back from Greece, I felt like this was absolute perfection. The Greek culture is totally deep rooted with their customs and traditions and being able to experience them first hand was pretty incredible. Prior to the ceremony, the day was filled with so much emotion – from laughter and smiles to red, teary eyes – family and close friends offered their blessings of encouragement and compliments to the bride and groom – each at their respective places. When it came ceremony time, the groom was paraded down the streets with songs and camaraderie and then the bride arrived to the same music and excitement. We then made our way over to the reception venue and danced the night away with 500 people. It was pretty incredible.
The bride writes all of the names of her single friends in the bridal party on the bottom of her shoe and whoever’s name is still there at the end of the night is the next to get married.
The groom’s family makes these delicious, one of a kind desserts. So sweet!!

I’m based in Maryland, DC and Northern VA but don’t worry, I LOVE to travel.
I love me a new passport stamp.
