I’m not aware of many brides who would laugh at the craziness of a huge thunderstorm and losing power for hours at their reception quite like Bridget would. But that is one of the many reasons I adore Bridget and probably Larry does too. Here we all were in an old bank restored to be a wedding venue, eating dinner by candle light, listening to music from a bluetooth speaker in a tin can for amplification, and honestly being so happy and nonchalant about the fact that the power was completely out. I loved that it didn’t matter at all. That Bridget was still beaming, that Larry was still having a blast, that people were still dancing and singing along to the songs. I loved that everyone got super quiet for the parent dances, so much you could hear Bridget and her dad’s dance floor chatter while they danced away. With about an hour left in the evening, the lights kicked on, the DJ kicked into full gear again and everyone danced much more loudly on the dance floor. I can’t imagine Bridget or Larry wanting their day to be any other way. Congrats to these two!!
