I love photographing weddings that have a lot of history to them. I met Holly and Scott right around New Years. They were visiting from San Francisco and wanted to find a photographer for their upcoming wedding. Lucky for me, we met, hit it off, and did an engagement shoot a few days later before they flew back home. Fast forward to August 25th, 2011. While every one in this area was going nuts trying to find a grocery store that had batteries toilet paper and water, there were hundreds of brides left trying to figure out what in the world they were going to do about their weddings that were just 2 days later. Well, the Liriodendron and the county made that decision for Holly and Scott and it wasn’t in their favor. So, this past Saturday, after another cross country flight for this incredible couple, they were finally married. No one cared that the dates on the program were August 27th, or cared that they had to make the trip twice, they were finally gettting to witness this amazing love between this resilient, we can handle anything together, truly just lovely couple. I could honestly not have been more happy to still be available that day and capture this wedding through my lens.
Holly and Scott – I hope you are having an incredible time in Hawaii and that you have sunny skies, yummy, cold drinks, and absolutely nothing to worry about! I’m sure you are having a blast. 🙂
First look!!
This is Elizabeth, she was my lovely, super smiley assistant for the day! Thanks so much, lady!
Oh, sweet, sweet, cuteness!!
Even more cuteness!
Cutest cake topper ever award.
Oh this guy, I have so many good photos of him. He was quite hysterical. I told him he was going to be on my blog right after he told me his record for Yuengling’s drank was 904. I still hope he sees this.
I also wanted to thank Anna for coming out with me!! More on her soon. 🙂
