This past Saturday I had the privilege of shooting Nadia’s Bat Mitzvah – the ceremony AND the party. It is very rare that a synagogue allows photos during a bat mitzvah ceremony but since this was not done in a synagogue, there were no rules and I absolutely loved it! It was so much fun to get to spend some time with Nadia before hand and then actually see her in action during the ceremony.
The first thing you should know is that Nadia is seriously gorgeous.
And really loves her brother Aidan. (Fun fact that I learned on Saturday – Aidan is Nadia spelled backwards!! How cool?)
Gorgeous fam.
Just a couple from the ceremony…
Now, the party. I don’t even know where to start. All I know is that it was incredible. For those of you who have been to the restaurant Linwoods – this is it, all decked out for Nadia’s Night Out in NYC! It was incredible and I don’t think any detail went unnoticed. I was so giddy about the fact that there was a glow stick in my straw and kids getting airbrush tattoos and a whole skyline of NYC on the dancefloor.
And a kids lounge!
Everything was so glam.
Nadia has a ton of really awesome friends. 🙂
Mix matched socks seems to be a standard at every bat mitzvah these days. I love it.
Heart.
Quite an introduction!
You really can’t help but love this family. They are so sweet and cute!
Have to give a shout out to Rachel (and Ryan!!) who introduced me to this awesome family and who did an amazing job on the invitations and more!
This girl is just awesome.
Nadia is the goalie on her field hockey team – so cool that they decided to have everyone sign her gear!
What’s a bat mitzvah without a dance with Dad?
This photo warms my heart.
What an incredible party. HUGE congrats to the bat mitzvah girl!!!! You are incredible, Nadia!!!
