The best part of my job is when people like my work enough to send more people to me. I would say at this point, I am almost 40% referrals – meaning almost 40% of the people you see on this blog, a past client referred to me. Adam and his family are an amazing group of people that I was lucky enough to meet through one of my former brides. Adam is an incredible man (man because he just had his bar mitzvah, otherwise, yes, I am aware, he is only 13). At his young age he has already had to demonstrate such strength, courage and bravery through his fight with leukemia as a child. What this led him to is wisdom, grace and this genuineness that is rarely seen in teenagers. I have loved getting to know this family and even prouder that I was the one to document this coming of age day – I can only hope I am invited back in 26 months as his sister, Jenna, said for her bat mitzvah! 🙂
Thursday evening we did some shots of him and the hazzan at the synagogue as well as some family shots.
I loved this – Adam received his father’s tallis, his father received his father’s and the funniest grandpa ever had his father’s tallis. Wonderful tradition!!
Loved this one.
Adam’s bar mitzvah was awesome. It was Adam’s March Madness! Everything was basketball. His favorite team is Maryland so naturally the huge kids table was decked out in MD gear. I loved that depending on what team your table had – the napkins were that color! Awesome!
Adam decided to have everyone bring a a toy or arts and craft supplies to the bar mitzvah as a donation for Children’s Hospital.
Ain’t he cute??
Jenna is adorable!!
Yes those soles of shoes in the middle of your screen.
Never seen so many boys dancing! Keep it up!! Girls love that!
Huge thanks to Laura at the Crowne Plaza for assisting this family in organizing such an incredible event!!
