Dude. This is going to be an epic blog post. You know I mean it because the very first word is Dude and because initially I had picked 139 photos for this, usually, I pick 40. So, this might be a bit overboard, but I don’t really care.
Let’s start with how I met Ali and Kit. Ali and I went to college together, I would say we were acquaintances. We knew who each other were, we were nice to each other, but we weren’t exactly friends friends and that wasn’t to say we wouldn’t have been, it’s just that dorms back then were clique-y and you tended to just hang out with people you live with. Fast forward to when I had an awful logo and just wanted to really do this photography thing and needed to just get off the ground. This is where my stalking skills come into play. I don’t know how but I was on Ali’s facebook page and then stalked her now husband’s facebook page and found out he was a graphic designer (it wasn’t all stalker driven – someone had given me a heads up he was a graphic designer, I am not a total weirdo). Next thing ya know I am emailing Ali asking for his contact info and about a month later I have an amazing website and blog and a few weeks later (because ya know, it takes awhile to cultivate a friendship) 2 new amazing friends. Now I am super lucky because they like food! Especially Mexican! And Ali likes running! And we can all be a big happy family! Yay!
Now – how in the world did Ali and Kit meet? Good question. For this I am totally using Ali’s version of the story because Kit’s version is written in medieval times with a prince and princess. They were set up on a blind date. HOW AWESOME? Even more awesome – when Ali was giving him directions to her apartment to pick her up, they realized they live in the same apartment complex. So, they met each other in the parking lot. And brownie points for Kit, the first thing he did was hug her. This part I stole from their website: “When he climbed into the driver’s seat, he turned to me and said, “Before we go anywhere, I think we should get all our red flags out on the table.” As he said this, he pulled down the visor, and little red flags came flying out around us. I knew right off the bat that I was not in for a dull evening.” -Ali
A year and a half later – Kit proposes over breakfast on the beach in Florida. And this Saturday, with God’s love literally pouring down around them – they were wed.
And I took really pretty pictures. And have way too many to show you so bear with me.
Look at those smiles!! First looks are so sweet!!
Kit literally said “Can I spin you??” The answer was of course, yes.
I know, I am obsessed with this picture. I keep posting it everywhere. I promise to stop soon. As soon as Kit comes home and makes it my new front page photo on my website.
Love this one!!
