Every bride gets nervous for overcast skies. So do venues. But not photographers. Overcast skies are a dream come true on wedding days for us…. as long as the threat of rain is nowhere in sight. And that is exactly what Friday was like, the most perfect day all around because the sun came out right as it was hitting it’s sweet spot – that glowy wonderfulness that photographs so perfectly. I couldn’t have imagined a wedding going more smoothly – Allison was so relaxed, gave me the biggest hug when I got there and all of her girls were so sweet and welcoming. And Stephen and his group of hysterical groomsmen – shy guy, baby hands, tall guy/model, sunglasses, THAT guy – yeah, they were all great too and totally deserving of their nicknames.
I had never been to Pier 5 before but if you love Baltimore, this is seriously the place to get married. The harbor is your ceremony backdrop, Pier 6 offers entertainment for guests that aren’t into dancing and want to hang out on the awesome balcony of the venue, the sounds of Baltimore – even if it is yacht’s horns – are abundant and laughable. I really did have a great time there and hope to be back soon. 🙂
Allison and Stephen plan to find some internet today to see these awesome teasers from the Riviera Maya (insert a ton of jealous faces here) and I hope they love them as much as I do!!
Special thanks to Jill Jenkins, wedding coordinator with Harbor Magic Weddings for making the day go smoothly!
All makeup was done by Nicole Palermo. She is so fun! And hair was done by Amy Farr at Jolie Tete Salon.
Oh yeah!! Stephen the model!
Loved the purple – it totally pops!
Her aunt did all of the flowers! I thought they were beautiful!

So many fun moments at this reception! Dan Hawkins of Music Masters DJ kept the dance floor packed!
Lynard Skynard rocking it out next door had nothing on this wedding.
