I am seriously in love with this couple. I remember their first meeting with me, it was Melissa and Dor, Melissa’s mom and one of her best friends, Kari, all sitting around a small Starbucks table talking about their wedding day. Dor was a bit quiet. I think it was a little bit of oh my goodness, I just got of an airplane from Israel literally yesterday and now we are booking a wedding photographer, despite the fact that they were already wed in Israel. And Melissa was chipper and asked all the right questions and seemed to be the outgoing one. Fast forward to the engagement session – holy cow was I wrong. Dor is way outgoing and talkative and has surprise dips and spins and all kinds of tricks up his sleeve. I knew that day that I could not wait to photograph their wedding and it lived up to every expectation I had.
I loved everything. The colors, the people, the fact that it rained the whole time we signed the ketubah and skies gave way just in time for the outdoor ceremony with the most incredible view, and the overwhelming sense of happiness everyone there had. I loved the stories that friends and family told – how Melissa met Dor on her birthright trip to Israel, how she said that she was going to visit her friend in Texas only to really hop on a plane and go visit Dor in Israel, how the first time Melissa’s family met Dor he wore a shirt that said Wacko for Flacco only it was written in Hebrew making it all the more hilarious, and how Melissa saved her twin brother’s life once when they had gotten into a car accident riding in the back seat. These two together combined with Melissa’s compassion, amazing smile, and genuine caring and Dor’s eagerness and ability to make anyone smile, make an amazing couple and I know they have an amazing life ahead of them.

This was Melissa’s grandmother’s garter and her mother wore it and now she wore it. 🙂
Her awesome maid of honor Amanda made Melissa her something blue handkerchief with her grandpa’s initials. He sadly passed away about 4 weeks before the wedding day but I could tell he was there and in everyones thoughts.
Melissa hates shoe pictures. But I took a few anyway.
Gorgeous!!
