A Saturday post? What the hay? I know but I have so many pretty pictures to share with you from my trip that was now so long ago and I don’t like doing more than one post a day during the week because I don’t want people to think I am annoying. Moving right along.
One of the highlights of the Baltic cruise for me was cruising into Stockholm. It was well worth having a balcony room. The Stockholm archipelago fans out 50 miles out from the city and is some 24,000 islands big. Imagine a cruise ship trying to get through 24,000 small little islands. They had to go really slow and for 50 miles have a pilot boat to guide them in and out of the port. There were so many beautiful homes on the archipelago, some for people who live there year round and some for vacationers. I decided it wouldn’t be so bad to have a vacation house in Sweden. Might need to work on that. 🙂
Just so you get an idea of what these archipelagos look like…
I must have been awe struck by the pretty houses, because to be honest, I don’t have any of them in my travel photos.
This boat had lips! Too cool!
It was so nice and hazy, full of sunshine, but the closer we got to the coast it was cloudy and dreary. Stockholm was actually sunny though, so that was fine by me. Loved the skies.
