Christy and Kevin got married in September at the lovely Springfield Manor, which is an old historic venue in Thurmont. It was a beautiful day and the sun even made an appearance!

Christy got ready at a hotel nearby with all of her closest girlfriends and her beautiful momma, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The bride then took the short trip to get to the ceremony. Kevin got ready at the venue with his best guy pals.

The ceremony was a beautiful service in the back garden. overlooking the mountains and beautiful greenery. During the ceremony they had a hawk deliver their wedding bands. It was really fun and so unique.

The reception was in a beautiful room at the venue. They chose Springfield Manor because of the awesome water feature (haha – here’s to looking at your, Kevin!) and they just fell in love with it. I love shooting at Springfield Manor weddings because the surroundings are just incredible. The light when the sun is setting behind the tree lined mountain lends itself to beautiful portraits.

They had a easily the biggest cookie bar I had ever seen and a live event painter. This is one of the most beautiful wedding paintings I had ever seen (definitely look for it below). They decorated the venue with beautiful burgundys and so much bling which really made everything pop.

The best part of the day was the dancing, because everyone let loose and really partied it up on the dancefloor. They also had a DJ that also sang and had a live drummer during the reception – it was so much fun! It added to the party atmosphere.
