For some reason Damn It Feels Good to be A Gangster by the Geto Boys does not seem like appropriate music to be listening to while writing this super sweet and adorable post. Give me a second.
Hmmm, Lullabye by Ben Folds Five seems like a better choice.
I remember the first time I met Kari. I hired her when I used to work at a mental health facility here in Frederick. One of my most favoritest jobs ever mostly because of the incredible people I worked with there. The first few minutes I spoke to her I knew she was someone who not only would be perfect for the job but would also be a lifelong friend. So far, so true.
I photographed her wedding a few years ago and today had the honor of capturing some beautiful moments before she becomes a mommy. 🙂 Jason, her awesome husband, was there to make her laugh, even when I wanted a serious photo, and run an errand to the grocery store so I could get these first few shots that I have wanted to do for so long! Jason, you’re the best!
I should mention that Kari is in fact 8 months pregnant. I know. She looks like most of us do after we eat a burrito from Chipotle and a Coke. Try to get past that.
I think this is my fav from the shoot yesterday. I love it!
So sweet! (However, you should picture Jason saying something super funny to her as he is doing what I told him to do, push her hair behind her ear, there are a bunch where they are laughing hysterically)
I don’t know what it is about this next picture – but I love it. It’s not one I would typically like, or even post. But Kari, you look so genuinely happy and free spirited. Like nothing is going to stop you from anything. You and your damn maternity skinny jeans and cute boots. Jerk. 🙂 I heart you.
And the little ones name:
